What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead position at Unix Packaging?
Summary
Individual is under general supervision and is responsible for all shipping and receiving activities during their assigned shift. Responsibilities will include but not limited to supervision of shipping/receiving personnel, ensure production lines have enough material to run production, create shipping documents, shipping labels, commercial invoices, and prepare items for shipments.
· Responsible for all warehouse and logistics activities including but not limited to receiving, storing, picking and shipping product.
· Supervise forklift drivers including planning, assigning and directing work; ensure meal and rest periods are provided; communicate to management any performance and company policy violations noted during shift.
· Effectively assign tasks to truck drivers keeping company savings in mind
· Perform “hands on” shipping/receiving duties.
· Ensure that the plant has enough materials to last “8 hrs. ahead” on seven production lines.
· Keep track of materials and POS.
· Enforce company policies and procedures such as safety rules and GMP’s.
· Complete the shipping report at end of shift.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years U.S. Customs/ Logistics/Warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory documentation requirements preferred including: Arrival Notices, Bills of Lading, ITN Filing (AES), Booking & Dispatching.
- Exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and good judgment to make decisions.
- Team Player/ the ability to work well with others, and to function well under pressure.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
