To installs, maintains, and repairs irrigation systems for various applications like residential, commercial, and agricultural settings. They work with equipment like sprinklers, pumps, valves, and controllers to ensure efficient water distribution. This includes tasks like system installation, testing, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and making recommendations for system upgrades. Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Laying out and installing pipes and lines, installing pumps and electrical timers, and testing systems.
- Maintenance: Performing routine checks, adjusting sprinkler heads, and checking for leaks.
- Repair: Troubleshooting and replacing faulty parts, including valves, manifolds, and sprinkler heads.
- Client Communication: Working with clients to understand their irrigation needs and providing recommendations for system improvements.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and guidelines.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of landscape design and irrigation principles.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Some post-secondary training in irrigation or landscaping is preferred.
- Valid driver's license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
