Distribution Center Specialist

Location: Waukesha WI

Pay: $20-24 per hour

Schedule Available Currently: 9am-5:30pm but will change to 10:30am-7pm in near future*must be available to change shift to be considered.

The Job at a Glance:

This position is responsible for the receiving, storing, distribution and shipping of all incoming parts, packages, and warranty returns, as well as, interacting with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services.

A Typical Day (Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the functions listed below)

• Ensures orders have been filled correctly by verifying shipments against the original order and the accompanying bill of lading or invoice.
• Unpacks and examines all incoming shipments to verify contents against bills of lading, invoices, packing list, purchase order, or other record included.
• Records any discrepancies with orders and prepares shipping/receiving reports to illustrate any shortages or damages. Corresponds with vendors to rectify any problems found.
• Ships outgoing materials, products, or supplies.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Determines proper method for shipping, making contact with trucking companies, and filling out manifests, if necessary.
• Interacts with parts department personnel for any parts related discrepancies.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and the equipment located in that area.
• Follows all prescribed safety regulations and accident prevention procedures while understanding the procedures relating to health and safety.
• Other duties as assigned by management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Lifting, moving, standing for extended periods of time (may be in awkward positions), bending, stooping, walking, and stretching.
• Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds).
• Operation of motorized equipment and vehicles may be required.

To Land this Opportunity:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of warehouse experience
• Must be highly safety conscious.
  Excellent organizational skills
• Must be motivated, a self-starter, and able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision.
• Must complete a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
