Description
- Proficient with all duties of an ABA Therapist
- Responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of all facets of intervention for all
- assigned clients (6-8) under guidance of Director
- Revises and updates client programming and behavior intervention plans in a timely fashion under
- guidance of Director
- Provides oversight for and approves program development work completed by BCaBAs and Team
- Leaders
- Supervises Therapists, Team Leaders and BCaBAs
- Provides ongoing feedback, training and support to Therapists, Team Leaders and BCaBAs
- Provides and documents required supervision of RBTs and BCaBAs
- Provides supervision to staff pursuing board certification (BCaBA, BCBA) as assigned and
- completes and maintains required documentation
- Assists with functional analyses and skills/developmental assessments
- Ensures that skills assessments are administered and re-administered at appropriate intervals
- Creates data sheets to monitor progress and behaviors as needed
- Completes client reauthorization reports on time
- Consistently works to improve quality of therapy by seizing opportunities to train and teach in all
- environments
- Completes initial assessments and authorization reports in timely manner
- Attends and actively participates in parent team meetings, IEP meetings, Therapist meetings,
- trainings and other meetings as requested
- Participates in research and presentation opportunities at local and national conferences
- Collaborates with other members of client’s team and family
- Ensures collected data is graphed accurately
- Completes 90-day and annual evaluations for Therapists, Team Leaders and BCaBAs as required
- Strives to develop and foster a team atmosphere
- Develops and manages individual employee development goals (Therapists, Team Leaders and
- BCaBAs)
- Conducts interviews for new Therapists as needed
- Assists with or conducts new-staff training when required, to include classroom instruction and on-site support during session overlaps
- Monitors effectiveness of staff training activities and materials and provides feedback to Executive Team as needed
- Conducts regional and company staff meetings and trainings with executive collaboration
- Assists with UTS marketing presentations as needed
- Work with Administration Team as needed
- Assists the Director with scheduling staff as needed
- Demonstrates responsible and respectful use of the property of families and UTS
- Provides and maintains an environment free of emotional, physical and sexual abuse and reports
- any incidents or suspicions of abuse or neglect to Director
- Ensures safety of clients, self and others at all times
- Refrains from any use of cell phones, internet and email that is not related to UTS duties
- Completes and submits required documentation in a timely manner (mileage tracking form,progress notes, billing sheets and time sheets)
- Requests time off in advance (minimum of two weeks), calls-out sick to the appropriate person in accordance with current attendance policy
- Reports to work on time or notifies supervisor and others as needed when tardiness will occur
- Acts as a positive role model for all staff, families and children working with UTS
- Maintains client confidentiality per UTS policy and HIPAA Privacy Regulations
- Adheres to all UTS policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Employee must be able to perform all physical duties related to the position, including ability to lift and maneuver over 50lbs, manage aggressive episodes, perform physical crisis intervention techniques, etc.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in ABA or related field (education, psychology, human development, etc.)
- Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA)
- Minimum of 2-3 years of ABA experience including implementation of behavior-reduction plans and
- skill-building programming for children and/or adolescents with autism
- Positive team player and energetic professional
- Strong organizational and time-management skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good judgment and creative thinking skills
- Demonstrates creativity, flexibility and the ability to prioritize and problem-solve
- Demonstrates attention to detail and strong written communication skills in collecting and analyzing
- data and writing reports
- Ability to communicate appropriately under varying conditions (considers the environment, people present)
- Exercises discretion in private and sensitive matters
- Ability to communicate and present self professionally at all times
- Ability to train others (parents, staff) on basic principles of ABA, curriculum, programs, etc.
- Strictly adheres to HIPPAA rules and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must meet agency driving insurability and background check requirements
