What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Lead - Pediatrics position at UNLV Medicine?
This is a working position with duties for leading the daily workflow of the front office. Schedules patient appointments, greets patients and visitors, answers and directs phone calls, checks patients in and out, verifies insurance eligibility and assists in general office duties.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of electronic medical record system preferred
- A minimum of three years experience in healthcare performing like duties is required.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Excellent interpersonal communication ability
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with the public
- Knowledge of insurance programs.
- Math skills to manage cash, change, checks and credit card transactions.
- Knowledge of operating various types of office machinery (i.e., faxes, typewriters, copier, etc.)and applicable software applications (i .e., Microsoft
- Word, Excel, etc.) Knowledge of insurance verification software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow PHV HIPAA regulations
- Knowledge of medical office scheduling.
- Knowledge of medical office terminology
- Ability to work under fast paced and stressful conditions. Ability to work with frequent interruptions.

- May include lifting up to 25 pounds
