Working Under the direction of physician / provider. The MA is responsible to assist in the examination and treatment of patients delivering high quality care and services, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. This recruitment will establish a list to fill current and / or future vacancies that may occur in the next three (3) months.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalencyGraduation from a Medical Assistant Program RequiredQUALIFICATIONS
One year medical assisting experience in an ambulatory / clinical setting preferredCurrent, nationally recognized Medical assistant Certification or Registration required or obtained within 90 days of employmentCurrent CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of employmentBasic computer literacy requiredKnowledge of medical terminology requiredGood communication and customer service skills requiredKnowledge of CLIA and OSHA guidelinesKnowledge of sterilization and disinfection proceduresKnowledge of HIPAA laws and ability to adhere to confidentiality policiesKnowledge of current medical assistant best practices and procedures including EKG and basic drugsKnowledge of medical and pharmacology terminology and medical office proceduresAbility to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent time management skillsWorking knowledge of patient management software and basic Microsoft office products. EPIC PreferredAbility to identify and apply proper communication methods in patient instructionAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to interpret and read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manualsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent telephone and customer service skillsSkills to implement good safety practices that prevent exposure to known workplace hazards and the necessary action needed when exposedSkill in applying and modifying principles, methods and techniques of a medical assistant to provide ongoing patient careStrong attention to detail skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
