The Department of Film and Digital Arts, in the College of Fine Arts, invites applications for a full-time Instructional Assistant who will assist students and faculty with 16mm filmmaking and other departmental course mentorship and operations. This 40-hour per week, on-site, benefits-eligible position requires both technical knowledge and customer service skills.
Duties will include:
- Assisting students and faculty in 16mm filmmaking course.
- Working with the equipment cage to ensure proper care, maintenance, and inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Assisting students, faculty, and staff in CERIA and other buildings in which departmental courses are scheduled.
- Troubleshooting classroom technologies and contacting IT for assistance.
- Assisting with film set management and set-up for special events.
- Supervising student employees.
- Working collaboratively as a team member and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
