Job Announcement : Metropolitan Technician (SEA)

We are seeking highly skilled Metropolitan Technicians ("Metro Techs") for a full-time position supporting and maintaining data centers in the Seattle (SEA) metropolitan area.

Position Overview :

The Metro Tech will provide technical, operational, and administrative support for data center operations, IT systems, network services, and critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Support data center operations and IT systems, network services, and business-critical processes.
Provide technical support related to colocation, connectivity, server hardware, and network services.
Plan and execute network deployments.
Install and deploy IT and network hardware.
Manage tickets end-to-end and maintain hardware inventory in DCIM tools.
Perform data center audits and maintain facility cleanliness.
Travel to nearby cities as needed.

Qualifications :

3-4 years of remote hands-on data center experience.

Knowledge of cable management, computer components, Linux, and Data Center environments.

Familiarity with Cisco / Juniper / Arista / Infinera / Ciena hardware and OS.

Proficiency in DCIM tools (e.g., Netbox) and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA).

Ability to work independently on servers, routers, and switches.

Preferred Qualifications :

ITIL and CCNA certifications.

Experience planning and executing network deployments.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs (25 kg).

Access to a car and ability to travel between sites in the metro area (required).

Work Expectations :

Available during standard business hours (8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday).

Flexibility to support low-peak hour maintenance (11 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM) with 8 hours' notice.

On-site arrival within 1 hour during business hours and within 2 hours outside of business hours when necessary.

Compensation :

Competitive hourly rate.
