Overview
As a successful Tournament Official, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with tournament operations at The Ripken Experience™ Aberdeen. You will actively contribute to the success of weekend tournaments in Aberdeen. This paid, seasonal position will span from March 2025 until November 2025. The primary workload is scheduled between Friday and Sunday each week. This part-time opportunity is ideal for high school or college students, as well as individuals seeking a supplementary weekend job. Full-season commitment is not required; your availability can vary throughout the season.
As a Tournament Official, you will :
- Announce youth baseball games (reading player names and advertisements), play music, run the scoreboard, relay messages to the Tournament Director, and assist our operations team with tasks around the complex
- Learn 'The Ripken Way' to play an integral role in operating world class baseball tournaments
- Create a fun, dynamic atmosphere for guests, developing camaraderie and acting as a positive role model
- Adhere to the Ripken values and brand standards, ensuring a consistent representation of excellence
- Acquire expertise in tournament operations through hands-on guidance from seasoned professionals
- Serve as a baseball rules consultant
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary customer service
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, displaying initiative, desire, and determination to champion the values associated with the Ripken name and brand
- Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently, while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants
