Position Summary
Responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Manager with planning, purchasing, maintenance, research, monitoring of inventory and assisting Supply Chain team members. Specific areas include, but are not limited to: planning, forecasting, purchase order creation and placement, inventory management, liquidation planning, Supplier management and team development.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Lead Analyst responsible for acting as first line for team member questions and requests for assistance on job tasks.
- Daily ordering with Domestic Suppliers based upon Material Requirements Planning output from ERP.
- Provide insight and information to Design, Sales, Inventory and Finance about Suppliers and stock.
- Make recommendations regarding direction of Domestic Suppliers and Assortment.
- Periodic ordering with Import Suppliers based on Material Requirements Planning output from ERP.
- Provide insight and information to Design, Sales, Inventory and Finance about Suppliers and stock.
- Make recommendations regarding direction of Import Assortment
- Provides key monthly and quarterly valuation, unit and pricing reports (for assigned Suppliers) to Design, Inventory, Sales, Finance and Management.
- The Inventory Analyst II generates reports in the ERP system based on designated criteria, verifies the report and any associated data, and distributes the report to appropriate parties.
- Assess the need for the creation of new reports or the expansion of existing reports.
- Plans and forecasts inventory using a forecasting module (Demand Solutions FM12), specific product knowledge, and marketing considerations and reports details of all Suppliers including:
- Managing life cycle information (both category and style) for products, including assortment planning, product development, initial forecasting, restocking, identifying the maturity point, discontinuing, and (upon approval) liquidation.
- Updating and maintaining Style codes, SKU’s, and purchase orders in ERP systems.
- Communicating with Suppliers when issues arise (e.g., backordered product, quality issues, production delays, etc.)
- Contributing to maintaining Supplier relationships through clear and consistent communication to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.
- Completes position specific training plans and engages in continuous development utilizing a developmental plan to further professional growth and effectiveness.
- Assists in the development of other Supply Chain Team Members
- Completes other duties as assigned (e.g., answering data requests, maintenance of Wyatt/M3 tasks, researching industry-relevant topics).
- Fills-in for work colleagues when they are absent from the office (as needed).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven results in demonstrating analytical ability.
- Strong interpersonal, written, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work with limited supervision; highly self-motivated.
- Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Experience with Demand Solutions and/or NGC Software (eSPS).
- Experience with international Suppliers (or 3rd party) relationships.
- Secondary language proficiency in Chinese or Spanish.
- T-SQL programming knowledge.
- APICS, ISM, PMP, or CPIM certification.
- Working knowledge of the Enterprising Resources Planning (ERP) system.
