What you will do
· Facilitates and analyzes the supply of power, coal, and natural gas for Tucson Electric Power and UniSource Gas/Electric Companies.
· Develops an understanding of the Companies’ hedging and risk management practices. Able to work in a team environment to ensure adequate, reliable energy supplies at the lowest reasonable cost.
· Develop a strong understanding of gas transportation, resource-planning, and regulatory driven challenges for each of the three UNS Energy regulated utilities.
· Develops and maintains competitive, reliable and cost-effective relationships with fuel, power, and transportation counterparts, develops an understanding of regulatory processes related to fuels and power.
· The position manages multiple contracts related to fuel in addition to ancillary contracts including contractors. The position accounts for and reports on fuel-related costs, including managing various inventory levels.
What you bring
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience and a B.S degree in Business, Engineering, or related field(s), or equivalent of education and experience.
- Must have an understanding of utility business concepts and strong communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases, MS Office, and presentation software.
- Basic understanding of fuels and accounting procedures.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and instruction to complete complex projects.
