What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Intern, Metering Engineering position at UNS Energy Corporation?
We are currently seeking a talented individual for the position of Student Intern, Metering Engineering. We are looking for an energetic addition to our team to assist Engineers with existing projects and studies. This person should have a strong interest in the area of Engineering.
Position-Related Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating, designing and documenting projects as needed
- Assist with developing, preparing and reviewing reports and studies to identify and recommend engineering solutions
- Assist with gathering and reviewing data to help determine the cause of a system disturbance
- Assist with system studies and validating models
A Qualified candidate will:
- Be a full time student pursuing a degree in an Engineering field with a graduation date of May 2026 or later
- Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours; up to 40 hours a week during the summer and school breaks as needed
- Have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to protect highly sensitive and confidential information; Must be able to meet regular deadlines
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Requirements:
- Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours; and up to 40 hours a week during the summer and school breaks
- Student Interns must maintain the required hours for full-time student status, good academic standing at their college or university, as defined by the college or university and the GPA required for graduation by their college or university.
- Failure to maintain full-time status, good academic standing and/or the requisite GPA will result in Student Interns being deemed ineligible for participation in this program.
- Student Interns are employed on a temporary basis and are generally not eligible for some benefits; including holiday pay.
