Position Description Serve as the primary safety resource to the Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and Employees. Actively oversee, manage and lead the development, implementation of safety programs, policies, procedures and initiatives that will support employees working together to prevent injury. In doing this, this position will also ensure compliance with all applicable company, local, state and federal laws, regulations and standards concerning safety and health, as well as applicable standards set forth by the governing authority. This position assists the UNSG Operations group in all aspects of safety training development and presentation. This position will collaborate with the Corporate Safety and Environmental teams to ensure alignment with the Corporate Safety Strategy, ensure all Environmental requirements are met, and implementation of UNS safety initiatives. As the primary safety resource at UNSG, this position will serve as a safety coach, safety trainer, and mentor for all employees and members of the leadership team.
* Supports Public Education programs ( 811, Stay Away Stay Alive, School & Contractor education)
Position-Related Responsibilities Level II
* Represents department and sections on various committees, as necessary, to insure that favorable associations continue. Disseminates appropriate information resulting from committee conclusions.
