General Summary :
We are seeking an experienced data scientist to join the Unum Marketing Analytics team. The ideal candidate is someone who is excited to transform data into actionable insights and impactful solutions which drive business results and improve the customer experience.
The role requires significant technical expertise in the fields of computer programming, applied statistics and data manipulation; and relies on increasing business knowledge. While some review by a manager is expected, this individual will take initiative in identifying and executing data science approaches to support business priorities.
Location : 2 days onsite per week at our Portland, ME, Chattanooga, TN, Columbia, SC or Atlanta (Sandy Springs), GA campus.
Job Specifications :
Programming & Automation : Expertise in building automated analytics pipelines using file I / O, databases, APIs, and cloud platforms. Experience with DevOps, data mining, web scraping, and object-oriented software preferred.
Strong communication and project management abilities.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
89,400.00-$183,500.00
