Job Duties and Accountabilities
Position Summary
Apply knowledge of computer-aided tools to design, resize or modify equipment and components for manufacturing, working closely with sales team, customers, production floor and other engineering personnel.

Responsibilities of This Position:
- Become familiar with Unverferth’s Ag equipment product lines and manufacturing processes.
- Review project instructions, prints and drawings to ascertain specifications, procedures and objectives.
- Create and check designs for small to medium size projects and assist in the creation and checking of large projects.
- Set up parts and create standardized costed bills of materials and routings in ERP system, and make ECN changes as needed.
- Design new or modified fixtures for assembly and weld production.
- Assist in preparing project documents.
- Assist in performing research.
- Perform other tasks within the scope of this position

- Maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with company personnel.

Working Conditions
- Usually in air-conditioned office setting, some non-air conditioned manufacturing plant environments.
- Positions during the day include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, bending, leaning, stretching, crouching, squatting, stooping, twisting and kneeling.
- Motions include, but are not limited to, walking, pushing, pulling, gripping, lifting and carrying objects up to 40 lbs., climbing ladders, negotiating stairways, typing and writing.
- Safety equipment worn as needed is protective clothing, hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes.
Prerequisite Skills and Work Experience
- Associate’s degree in Design/Drafting or Manufacturing Technology
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Inventor, Solidworks, etc).
- Able to effectively use Microsoft Office software products.
- Able to read, write and speak clearly in English.
