Duty Location: Duty location is Hilliard, Ohio. The position may require limited official travel estimated at 10 percent or less.
General Duties and Responsibilities: Unwin Company is looking for a motivated Helpdesk and Desktop Support Specialist to be an integral part of our in-house Information Technology support team. This team is responsible for the end to end, day to day operations of our IT environment in support of our users and their mission for the client.
The ideal candidate will provide frontline technical support for end users also manage mobile devices, workstations, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a high level of organization and autonomy. Well-qualified candidates will also possess knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
· Support off-site personnel utilizing remote support tools
· Build, maintain, and deploy Windows workstation and laptop images using imaging tools (e.g., Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Deployment Services (WDS))
· Maintain user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Microsoft 365
· Troubleshoot applications and services including Office365, Acrobat, OneDrive, Teams.
· Configure and provision hardware and applications based on organizational standards and policies.
· Maintain an up-to-date inventory of deployed and available hardware.
· Perform regular system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
· Diagnose and resolve issues related to network connectivity, printers, and office peripherals.
· Collaborate with the IT team on hardware refresh projects and infrastructure improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
· Ability to obtain DOE Q security clearance
· 1-3 years of experience in a Helpdesk or Desktop Support role.
· Strong proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
· Experience with PC imaging and deployment tools.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues methodically.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Active Top Secret or Q security clearance
· Knowledge of Government standards (DISA, NIST, CMMC, etc.)
· Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, CompTIA A , and/or other IT-related certifications
