Description :
This position requires a caring and competent registered nurse with experience in a Progressive Care Unit.
The nurse will work in a dynamic environment with transplant recovery patients of mixed acuity.
Strong team collaboration skills are essential along with the ability to function effectively with high acuity patients.
The unit has 28 beds with a patient ratio of 3-5 : 1.
Required skills include the use of PCA, chest tube management, CVP monitoring, use of Levophed, telemetry, and familiarity with epidural and tracheostomy care.
The nurse should also be capable of performing suctioning and peritoneal dialysis.
Candidates should be able to float as necessary between any PCU or Med Surg unit.
The position operates with a 36-hour weekly schedule and includes every other weekend.
It does not require on-call duties.
Work attire consists of scrub tops in Galaxy Blue and pants in either Galaxy Blue or Black.
