Description :
This position is for an RN specializing in intermediate thoracic and vascular surgery.
The RN will work in a unit with 22 beds, treating post-operative, cardiac, and overflow patients.
Patient ratios range from 3-5 : 1.
Essential skills include cardiac GTTS, telemetry, and experience with equipment such as nocturnal BiPAP, high flow, wound vacs, chest tubes, and drains.
Proficiency in using the Cerner EMR system is required.
The role requires a friendly, team player who is motivated and can adapt to a dynamic environment.
Staff are required to float to any PCU or Medical-Surgical unit as necessary.
The dress code is galaxy blue scrubs with tops and bottoms acceptable in either black or galaxy blue.
Weekend hours are required every other weekend, with no on-call responsibilities.
Candidates must be committed to providing advanced care and treatment in a renowned academic medical center.
