Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : Psychiatry

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience

License : Registered Nurse (RN) License

Certifications : BLS, NVCI

Must-Have :

1 year of experience in medical surgical or inpatient behavioral health

Job Description :

Work in a Med Surg / Psychiatry specialty unit, primarily catering to psychiatric patients with med-surg needs such as IV therapy, oxygen administration, and wound care.

Participate in a 33-bed inpatient unit with a patient ratio of 6 : 1.

Use equipment including Computers on Wheels, limb restraints, and restraint chairs.

Operate within an EMR system environment (Cerner).

Required to float between inpatient medical detox and inpatient medical psych units.

Weekend hours include a rotation every third weekend.

No call requirements.

Enjoy working with psychiatric patients and be skilled in med-surg.

Uniform consists of a galaxy blue top, with either black or galaxy blue pants, and a black jacket.

Unacceptable attire includes any clothing outside the specified scrub options.

Facility provides a variety of medical and emergency services, weight-loss management, and recently expanded its oncology services.

The hospital has a longstanding history of serving generations of patients and has been recognized for its bariatric surgery services.
