Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Warehouse Driver to support our warehouse and construction operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites and our warehouse facilities, ensuring timely delivery and safe handling of construction materials. This role requires strong driving skills, knowledge of safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including flatbed trucks, box trucks, and vans, to transport materials, tools, and construction supplies to and from job sites.
- Ensure all materials are securely loaded and unloaded according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, including material quantities, delivery times, and any issues encountered during transport.
- Inspect vehicles before, during, and after each trip, performing basic maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Assist in unloading construction materials at job sites, ensuring proper placement and storage.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Follow all road safety and company policies while driving, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to track inventory and notify management of any shortages or issues with materials.
- Assist in the preparation of job sites, ensuring that necessary materials and equipment are available when needed.
- Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all safety standards and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 60 pounds)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Extended periods of driving and standing.
- Ability to stay out of town if necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- 25ft stake bed truck
- Clean driving record
- Previous experience in driving for warehouse, construction, or delivery roles is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and basic construction materials.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with loading/unloading materials.
Working Conditions:
- The position requires travel to various job sites, often remote or on challenging terrain.
- Flexibility in working hours, including occasional weekends or nights, may be required based on project timelines or emergencies.
