Vice President of Facilities

This role will be responsible for leading a national team of Facilities professionals, overseeing all building infrastructure and equipment, tenant fit outs, preventative maintenance, security, engineering, fire/life safety, and various capital improvements. Reporting to the President & COO, the ideal candidate will think strategically but also possess the ability to drive projects to completion. They will have a deep understanding of facilities management, engineering, and construction.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a national team of Facilities personnel who oversee the daily management of UOVO’s real estate portfolio; ensuring the highest standards are upheld as it pertains to HVAC, security, general and preventative maintenance.
- Develop and execute strategic long term asset planning for UOVO as it relates to capital improvements, and preventative maintenance.
- Review operating and capital budget reports for all properties, creating action plans to improve operating costs and efficiencies while planning ahead for any major capital improvement projects.
- Partner with key stakeholders on new property development and redevelopment activities for the portfolio.
- Implement new policies, procedures, and building systems which reflect the latest advances in building management technology, access control, fire/life safety etc. in order to improve performance.
- Support UOVO’s ESG initiatives, ensuring compliance with local laws and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide input and review on tenant fits outs as needed with the occasional external client interface.
- Uphold the highest levels of customer service, both internally and externally.
- In conjunction with key stakeholders, establish goals and objectives in line with UOVO’s Performance Management program; providing semi-annual feedback and completing performance reviews for all direct reports and subsequent team members.
- Create a positive and engaging work environment by mentoring, coaching, and motivating direct reports and their team members.

Qualifications & Skills
- 10 years of leadership experience within Facilities Management with a proven ability to lead a team of people working in a multi-state organization.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of maintenance and engineering specific to building construction, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to budget resources and work within budgetary limitations; comfortable with negotiation.
- Ability to delegate responsibilities and exercise control over projects and initiatives.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Superior leadership skills, with a focus on employee coaching and development
- Poise in a fast-paced business environment
- Some travel will be required to various UOVO locations; estimated 20-30 days a year.
This position requires some on-site presence at UOVO’s various locations, while also allowing the flexibility to work remotely.
