About the Position: Up Excellence Academy is seeking a passionate and innovative Entrepreneurship Teacher to inspire students to think creatively, develop business acumen, and engage in experiential learning that cultivates an entrepreneurial mindset. This role focuses on empowering students with the skills and confidence to identify opportunities, solve real-world problems, and create impactful projects that foster leadership, collaboration, and resilience.

Primary Job Functions:

Academic

• Instructional Delivery: Design and implement lessons that introduce students to key concepts of entrepreneurship, including business planning, financial literacy, marketing, and innovation.
• Experiential Learning: Lead students through project-based learning experiences where they identify problems, create solutions, and pitch ideas.
• Curriculum Development: Develop or adapt curriculum that aligns with school-wide goals and integrates entrepreneurship with other disciplines.

Supporting All Scholars

• Differentiate instruction to meet the varied academic and social-emotional needs of all students.
• Provide guidance and support to students working on individual or group entrepreneurial projects.

Character

• Culture Leadership: Promote a growth mindset by encouraging students to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and celebrate successes.
• Classroom Expectations and Procedures: Establish a classroom culture that supports innovation, collaboration, and professionalism.

Family Partnership

• Engage families by sharing updates on student projects and inviting them to showcase events.
• Communicate regularly with families to highlight student growth and ways to support entrepreneurial learning at home.

Adult Culture

• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate entrepreneurial concepts across the curriculum.
• Participate in professional development and share best practices related to experiential and entrepreneurship education.

Diversity and Inclusiveness

• Create an inclusive classroom environment that honors and reflects the diverse experiences and backgrounds of students.
• Implement culturally responsive teaching practices that foster inclusivity and highlight diverse entrepreneurial contributions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Valid teaching certification (or actively working towards certification through an alternative certification program or equivalent).
• Experience with project-based learning, business concepts, or entrepreneurship education.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Up Excellence Academy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in launching or managing entrepreneurial projects or businesses.
• Familiarity with design thinking or other innovation frameworks.
