An exciting opportunity is now available for a Clinical Documentation Specialist at UP Health System - Portage. As a member of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for facilitating improvement in the overall quality through completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation. The Clinical Documentation Specialist will strive to ensure comprehensive medical record documentation that reflects the clinical treatment, decisions, and diagnosis for all inpatients while serving as a resource to all members of the healthcare team on documentation guidelines. In this position, you will provide guidance and support, as well as assist with education and training related to improving clinical documentation.

Position Requirements:
Associates’ degree required
Bachelors’ degree preferred
State of Michigan Registered Nurse licensure, RHIA, RHIT or combination of thereof preferred
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred
Annual influenza vaccination or declination required
Position Details:
.9 FTE (36 hours per week)
Day shift, weekdays only
