The Sales Manager is responsible for building relationships with clients, booking events, successfully bringing in new business, retaining existing business, increasing sales year to date, and detailing BEOs for events. Exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences are key to success in this role. Candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent organizational abilities, and have a genuine love for food and hospitality are ideal.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience as a sales manager or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
-Proven track record of successfully planning and executing catering events of varying sizes and complexities.
-Strong knowledge of food and beverage industry trends, including dietary preferences, menu planning, and presentation techniques.
-Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, staff, and vendors.
-Leadership abilities, with experience in managing and motivating a team to achieve exceptional results.
-Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality control, consistency, and exceeding customer expectations.
-Proficient in computer systems and software relevant to the catering industry, such as catering management software, Microsoft Office, and POS systems.
-Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and licensing requirements.

*Generate sales leads outside of the restaurant by using all forms of communication (Email, telephone, cold calls, mailings, attending fairs and conferences, etc.)
*Meet with guests to show facilities, develop menus and offer other services such as audio/visual, entertainment etc.
*Must have proven record of reliability and punctuality
*Must have excellent communication skills -verbal and written, and superior organizational ability
*Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office programs
*Prior sales experience required and proficiency in catering software (Delphi or other) preferred
*Ideal candidate will have demonstrated customer service and/or hospitality management experience
*Demonstrated experience in securing business relations with clients/guests and in developing
strategies that improve guest satisfaction and build client loyalty
*Must be appropriately dressed in business attire
*Must be able to work a flexible schedule
*Must express maturity and social skills of a hospitality sales professional
