ABOUT THE ROLE
Coach Across America is seeking a passionate individual to implement and manage the She Changes the Game® initiative, which is focused on increasing opportunities for women to coach, building the capacity of girls’ sports programs, and leveling the playing field for girls. The SCTG Program Director will serve as the main point of contact for Coach Across America Coaches and their programs in the DC area. This individual will ensure that Coach Across America Coaches and program sites are properly supported and maintain quality services, and deliverables. This position is based out of DC and works closely with the Managing Director in Baltimore to manage the SCTG program while meeting programmatic and funding compliance requirements. This position will require an individual with a start up mentality and can work on their own initiative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Leadership & Strategy
- Collaborate with the Managing Director, Baltimore, and the National Director, Coach Across America Coach, to create and implement a strategic plan for growing the She Changes the Game initiative.
- Initiate partnership outreach calls to cultivate new relationships with youth sports programs across the region and assist in increasing Coach Across America membership.
- Collaborate with Marketing to build visibility in your market.
- Help develop project plans and high-level strategy to align the SCTG program with the national service requirements.
- Provide ongoing oversight of all programmatic functions within assigned markets.
- Monitor the structure of the SCTG initiative as it relates to the needs of Coach Across America, Monumental Sports, coaches, and their local programs.
- Coordinate with the Operations department to streamline, standardize, and formalize processes and procedures for the SCTG initiative.
- Maintain all program records in Salesforce.
- Recruit, interview, and select staff with appropriate skills and personal abilities (when required).
- Participate and co-facilitate bi-weekly coach team calls.
Planning and Organization
- Act as the point of contact for CAA/SCTG coaches and program sites in DC.
- Plan the delivery of the overall program and its activities
- Manage AmeriCorps Coach onboarding and exiting process in partnership with the National Operations Team, including interviewing prospective coaches, running compliance checks, and processing all onboarding and exiting paperwork.
- Monitor compliance of coaches and program sites to ensure consistency with criteria established by funding sources and the CAA mission.
- Conduct multiple host site visits for coaches in DC.
- Conduct and deliver program orientation to coaches and program sites at the beginning of the program service year.
- Assist with organizing and facilitating coach training, special events, and other DC-based program initiatives.
- Coordinate program activities for coaches and other stakeholders, i.e., Service Days, Coach professional development, socials, etc.
- Review applications from program sites requesting to host coaches and prepare recommendations to the National Operations Team for allocating coach placements.
- Oversee all aspects of program monitoring and evaluation, including data collection, tracking, coding, and reporting.
- Mentor, motivate, and support Coach Across America AmeriCorps Coaches.
- Additional travel outside of the host site visits may be required on an as-needed basis, both locally and nationally.
- Other duties as determined by your supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a nonprofit or similar (academic or government) management position or experience in program implementation and/or program management.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A basic experience in nonprofit fundraising is a plus.
- Prior experience in managing government funding and/or programming.
- Experience working with underserved children and youth in sports programs in diverse communities.
- Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Ability to liaise among staff, the coaching force, local organizations, and others.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and manage programs at multiple remote locations.
- Must be able to work on a team but also be self-motivated; Experience working with remote teams preferred.
- Must be able to comfortably travel throughout DC, whether with own vehicle or via public transit.
- Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy and well-developed technology skills.
COMPENSATION
- Salary: $58,000 - $60,000 per year
