Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of plumbing technicians in the field to ensure timely and quality completion of service calls and projects.
- Coordinate and assign daily work schedules, ensuring proper coverage for emergency and routine plumbing jobs.
- Conduct regular field visits to ensure adherence to company standards, safety protocols, and customer expectations.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical expertise on complex plumbing issues when needed, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Review job performance, provide coaching, and assist in employee development and training.
- Ensure all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available for technicians to complete their tasks efficiently.
- Communicate with customers, providing updates on job progress, ensuring satisfaction, and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Monitor job costs, time tracking, and ensure accurate and timely documentation for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with management to improve field service processes and enhance team productivity.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Assist in performance evaluations, recruitment, and hiring of new plumbing staff as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required; plumbing-related certifications or journeyman/master plumber license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with both team members and clients.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, walk, stand, kneel, and work in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and heights.
- Regular field visits to job sites and client locations.
- May involve exposure to hazards typical of plumbing work, such as water, gas, and waste systems.
