As an Underwriting Specialist at UpEquity, you will be a pivotal player to ensure UpEquity’s loan operations processes are executed efficiently and effectively for every customer.
As an Underwriting Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Review and analyze loan applications
- Examine verification documents and create/clear underwriting conditions as needed to ensure compliance with company guidelines and evaluate a borrower’s creditworthiness
- Open and review title search reports; work to address any clouds
- Review property inspections and identify required repairs
- Order closing packages and coordinate closing dates with UpEquity’s Customer Experience team
- Maintain accurate information in loan operating system for operational and management reporting
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in mortgage or loan operations is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management, project management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and rigorous commitment to quality
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- The drive to build something new and make continuous improvements
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
