Summary / Objective

The Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within assigned assembly cells to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role involves coordinating staffing, providing training, monitoring workflow, and driving continuous improvement efforts.

 Essential Functions 

• Manage and prioritize staffing assignments to meet production schedules and customer demands.
• Ensure compliance with documented policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Train employees on proper procedures to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Identify and report issues related to quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor.
• Collaborate with support teams (Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers, Materials, Warehouse, and Plant Manager) to resolve issues.
• Conduct lot acceptance activities for assigned assembly cells.
• Update production metrics and facilitate regular team meetings.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing, and 5S activities.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions and procedures while ensuring accurate documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support efficient manufacturing operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee Operators, Assemblers, and Material Handlers within assigned production areas.

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (Relevant work experience may be considered in place of formal education).

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate instructions and reports in English.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply logical reasoning to standard situations.
• Basic mathematical proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly.
• Close visual acuity required for inspecting parts, reading data, and working with small components.
• Work is performed indoors, with exposure to fluctuating temperatures.
