Core Function | This position is responsible for the timely development, qualification, and implementation of all tooling and manufacturing process technologies required to deliver the right scalable solution at the right cost.

Responsibilities |

Supervisory Responsibilities | This position oversees two fulltime Tooling Specialists and one fulltime Tool and Die Technician. |
|
|

Skills Requirements | This position skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic computer skills.
Key qualifications for this role include: • Extensive knowledge of injection molding tooling design and tool making processes. • Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, and manage the activities and performance of others effectively • Strong team player with excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills. • Detailed understanding of plastics molding-related process variables and their impact on throughput, quality, and yield rate • Strong to expert-level 3D CAD skills, including advanced surfacing and large assemblies • Knowledge and experience in scientific molding/RJG molding |

Training Requirements | This position requires a combination of on-the-job training in conjunction with ISO-related training. ERP-AS/400 Training, and Department Level Work Instructions |
|
|
Educational Requirements | The successful candidate should have a bachelor's degree in mechanical / materials engineering or in a related field. Education can be substituted for 10 years of technical experience in mold design/mold making. |
|
|
Experience Requirements | Candidates need 5 years of experience in direct hands-on injection mold design and/or injection mold construction. Ten plus years without an engineering degree. |
|
|
Physical Requirements |
Light Work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and / or lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. If the use of arm and / or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than sedentary work and worker sits most of the time, the job is light work. |

Visual Acuity | The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as; preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and or operation or machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distance close to the eyes. |
