What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Driver position at UPG?
Metalex powered by UPG is a growing steel service center that has been in business for almost 60 years. Metalex is looking to hire a Material Handler to join our dynamic team! Successful candidates will ideally have worked in the steel industry (but not required) and have a solid level of experience with the types of specialized products and services produced by steel service centers. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in this fast-paced environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Locate material, measure it for accuracy, verify that it meets requirements.
- Prep for delivery to load on a truck.
- Loading trucks
- Warehouse duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Crane Operator experience/certification preferred.
- Able to work any shift (morning, afternoons, & evenings)
- Must be able to complete criminal background check and drug screen per company guidelines.
