Emergency Department Technician - Limited Part-time position working 1 weekend per month, 2 - 12 hour shifts from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday
- Candidates should have one (1) year experience in an acute hospital setting
- Candidates may also have experience in working with an ambulance crew
- A current EMT certification is highly preferred or a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant background required.
- Prior medical terminology is beneficial
- A current BLS certification is required
- Excellent communications and organizational skills are required
- Candidates should have the ability to work flexible hours including nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have the ability to work with all contacts using good customer relation skills
The Emergency Department Technician is responsible for obtaining and processing patient information as his/her primary role. Candidates may be required to assist with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse and Physician in the Emergency Department.
