Physical Therapy Assistant - Home Health department, .8 to 1.0 FTE position. Day time hours with a weekend and holiday rotation included.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide physical therapy sessions in patient homes and provide services necessary for the patients with medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs and education. The PTA will evaluate, record and report patient problems and progress for effective communication with other members of the rehabilitation and nursing team. Will assist in the development of new services/programs as needed and assess needs for such services. The Physical Therapy Assistant is under the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist. Primary work areas will include home health care services but will also include a weekend and holiday rotation covering the hospital and skilled nursing facility.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Graduate of an APTA/AMA accredited curriculum.
B. Licensed as a PTA in the State of Wisconsin.
C. Interest in professional growth as demonstrated by attendance at continuing education programs and participation in professional organizations.
D. Positive references.
E. Ability to plan, direct, implement and evaluate Physical Therapy treatments.
F. Prior rehab work experiences are preferred but not required.
G. Experience with EMR systems is very beneficial.
