Job Details

  • Hospital in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced and qualified ICU RN for an immediate and urgent need.

    • Job Requirements

  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • COVID Vaccine Required

    • Schedule Information

  • 12 hour shifts, 0600 - 1800; 1800 - 0600
  • Weekends would be rare
  • Holidays would be rare
  • No call or standby requirement
  • Float to MedSurg if the ICU is closed

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Evening / night shift, 3x12s

    • Additional Details

  • of beds : 3-Beds
  • Ratios : 1 RN to 2-3 patients
  • Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Afib-RVR, DKA, Alcohol withdrawal, Covid pneumonia
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills : Titrate drips, cardiac monitoring, management of respiratory support systems
  • Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes
  • Common titratable & / or set rate drips : cardizem and insulin
  • Charge Nurse / House Supervisor : Yes
  • Are there nurse aids on this unit / Ratios : No
  • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : No
  • RT in ICU 24 / 7 : No
  • RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) : Available
  • Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? : Yes, RN's read their own strips
  • Scrub Color / Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs
  • Unit / Department specific orientation : varies by patient population
