Job Details
Small hospital in Wisconsin is looking for a friendly and well qualified certified medical assistant for their outpatient medical clinic.
Job Requirements
Candidates should have completed a Medical Assistant Training program, prefer those that are Certified Medical Assistants or be Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
BLS (Basic Life Support) is required
Prior experience using the EPIC medical record system is preferred but not required
Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial
Schedule Information
Hours & Shift : Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
Unit Specific Information
Will prepare patients for the health care visit and perform nursing procedures under supervision of the health care provider
Assist with exams and reviews and / or records medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment
Preparing laboratory specimens; perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory tests
Sterilizing medical instruments; administering medications, authorizing drug refills as directed
E-prescribing prescriptions to pharmacies as directed
