About the Role:
Uplevel Communication is looking for a Communication Coach to help professionals improve their public speaking, executive presence, and presentation skills through structured coaching. This role requires someone who excels at active listening—understanding clients’ challenges and guiding them toward impactful solutions.
Coaching sessions are primarily 25-minute and 55-minute Zoom meetings, following our structured Uplevel Communication Playbook to help clients build confidence and clarity. Coaches will also onboard new clients, assess their communication needs, provide feedback, and track client progress.
Most coaching is virtual, with Fridays remote (pending approval of a professional home setup). This role requires availability for one evening per week (Monday–Thursday) to accommodate client schedules.
Start Date: June – August 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct 25-minute and 55-minute virtual coaching sessions, focusing on listening, identifying areas for improvement, and providing actionable strategies.
- Onboard new clients, assess their communication strengths and weaknesses, and create personalized coaching plans.
- Deliver structured feedback and follow-up strategies to ensure measurable progress.
- Gather client testimonials and feedback to track impact and refine coaching methods.
- Maintain detailed coaching notes and contribute to continuous improvement of training materials.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in public speaking coaching, communication training, or a related role.
- Strong active listening skills, with the ability to analyze and refine a client’s communication style.
- Ability to provide structured, client-focused coaching rather than simply delivering speeches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to model effective speaking techniques.
- Comfortable using Zoom in a professional virtual coaching environment.
Ideal:
- Graduate degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) or 6 years of experience in communication coaching.
- Experience in corporate training, media coaching, or sales communication.
- Familiarity with behavioral psychology or neuroscience-based communication techniques.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ICF Coaching, Toastmasters, or other communication-related credentials).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $70,000–$90,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
- Performance Bonus: $5,000–$15,000 per year, based on client satisfaction and retention
