Qualifications :
- 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse / related position.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Current Texas nursing license (or compact state equivalent).
Role Summary :
The Director of Labor & Delivery provides leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions / services within the hospital organization. This role assists in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level. The Director assumes 24 / 7 responsibility for their assigned areas and supports the CNO in ensuring high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and effective resource management related to patient care.
