Director of Med Surg / Tele

Location : Southern California

Position Type : Permanent

Facility : 120-bed Acute Care Hospital

Base Salary - USD $136,739 to $198,286

Qualifications :

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
Minimum 3 years of Acute Care Nursing Management experience
Bachelor’s Degree required / Master’s Degree preferred
Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of California

Responsibilities :

Oversee the daily operations of the Medical-Surgical / Telemetry units

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

Lead and mentor nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture

Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety

Manage budgets and resources effectively to optimize unit performance

Collaborate with other departments to improve overall patient outcomes

Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, addressing any issues promptly

Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes

Skills :

Strong leadership and team management abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in healthcare management systems and software

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and composure
