Job Description :

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead our surgical team in Western Idaho. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three to four years of experience in Surgical Services and prior management experience.

This position oversees approximately 50 FTE's (RN, CST, Anesthesia Tech, CNA, Clerical staff). Operating Room is equipped with seven (7) operating suites and state of the art surgical technology. We are proud to be home of a VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution and the da Vinci Xi Surgical System providing robotic-assisted surgery by Intuitive. There are many surgical specialties housed here, such as, general surgery, neurology, neurology-spine, orthopedics, orthopedic-spine, obstetrics, gynecology, ear-nose-throat, and podiatry, just to list a few.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee the daily operations of the surgical services department.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance surgical services.

Manage and mentor surgical staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Monitor and improve patient care quality and safety.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.

Manage the budget and resources for the surgical services department.

Qualifications :

Eligible for Idaho professional nurse licensure (upon hire).

Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or related field.

Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Certification.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Understanding of, and experience in central processing, sterilization, and decontamination procedures.

Skills :

Strong leadership and management abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in developing and implementing policies and procedures.

Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

Commitment to patient care quality and safety.
