Travel Phlebotomist (Contract)
Location: Idaho/Washington (Location is right on the border)
- Job Type: Travel Contract (13 weeks)
- Shift: 8-hour days, 5 am - 1:30 pm shift
- Compensation: $40.86/hr (Hourly Per Diem/Stipend)
Experience: At least 3-5 years of inpatient/outpatient phlebotomy experience and experience working in a nursing home/with elderly patients.
Skills: ED/inpatient and outpatient experience, and point-of-care testing
License: Would be preferable if the candidate has their Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomy Certification already or is willing to get one. The candidate would be able to work temporarily while the application process is ongoing/pending.

Responsibilities:
- Phlebotomist would be driving company vehicle to our nursing home/skilled facility clients in Idaho and Washington for draws.
- Once they are done with the nursing home route, they would help with outpatient draws at our Main Lab in Lewiston, ID for the rest of their shift.
- Perform blood draws and other specimen collection procedures on patients in both in-patient and outpatient settings
- Conduct point-of-care testing using iSTAT machines (will train)
- Ensure that all specimens are properly collected, labeled, and transported to the laboratory
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all specimens collected
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
- Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of in-patient phlebotomy experience
- Experience in ED/inpatient and outpatient settings
- Experience with point-of-care testing and iSTAT machines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
