Primary Purpose :
Assist in preparation and serving the appropriate quantities of food to meet planned menu requirements. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, safety practices, and customer service.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Assist with general kitchen tasks
- Cook and prepare meals according to the menu
- Serve food according to meal schedules and procedures
- Ensure portion control
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen
- Follow Safety guidelines when operating equipment
- Follow all industry standard guidelines for food safety and sanitation
- Ensure counting and claiming process are followed according to USDA / TDA guidelines
- If assigned, carry out other specific kitchen roles (e.g. dishwasher, cashier, push meals to other areas of school etc.)
- Provide good customer service to maintain good customer relationships
- Process cash handlings accurate and in timely fashion
