Primary Purpose:
The Manager of Strategic and Community Partnerships’ role is pivotal in creating, implementing, and supervising outreach initiatives to engage the community, corporations, non-profits, and local organizations, in support of Uplift’s initiatives. Working closely with school administrators, teachers, and staff, this position aims to identify needs and forge partnerships to enrich the educational journey of PK-12 students. This position will manage current partnerships and ensure the success of all field trips and after school programs across the network.

Starting Salary: $65,000

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create and execute outreach strategies to establish connections within the local community and businesses, elevating awareness about Uplift Education events, programming, and volunteer opportunities.
- Cultivate positive relationships with community members, local businesses, and organizations to foster collaboration.
- Identify and nurtures potential and existing partnerships with local and area businesses, nonprofits, and other entities to grow Uplift’s community partner portfolio, and establish scholar and teacher resources and incentives that support Uplift’s network retention initiatives.
- Collaborate with school administrators and staff, as well as various Central Management Office (CMO) departments to identify areas for community involvement, offering support and resources to enrich scholars’ educational journey.
- Maintain accurate records of partnership engagement, community collaborations, and outreach efforts served through Uplift’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, regularly assessing program efficacy to inform data-driven improvements.
- Recruit and manage community volunteers to enhance and support various school activities, events, and programming.
- Supports network or campus volunteer opportunities, as well as volunteer appreciation recognitions or events.
- Act as a representative of Uplift Education at community events and forums, championing the interests of Uplift scholars, families, and educators.
- Supervises two Partnership Coordinators.
- Duties may change according to organizational needs and initiatives.
- Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college of university required.
- Experience Requirements:
- Applicant should possess 2 years of working in community outreach with partnership management experience. Preferred experience working in PK-12 education, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Special Skills/Certifications:
- Ability to use effective and persuasive communication skills for relationship building. Must have experience using at CRM system to track and manage outreach and partnerships, preferably in a PK-12 setting.
- Communication Skills:
- Proficiency in interpersonal communication, networking, and collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Bilingual Skills:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
- Technology:
- Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches.
- Ability to manage and interpret data using Uplift’s CRM system.
- Tenacity
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with experience handling multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively manage critical deadlines.
- Ability to effectively manage personnel.
