Primary Purpose:
The MTA Instructor provides dyslexia instruction for scholars at identified campuses through the Amplio program. This individual supports campuses with scholar progress monitoring, parent communication, and builds collaborative relationships with teachers and school leaders in the best interest of scholars. Success in this role requires consistent document, reporting scholar progress within internal tracker and attending all required curriculum trainings.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Physical Demands: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).
Work Environment: Standard office environment, though role requires frequent visits to multiple campuses across the DFW metroplex.
Starting Salary: $60,000

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Teaches scholars from all grade levels as needed (K-12)
- Utilizes MTA instruction (Amplio program curriculum)
- Collaborates with Network Dyslexia Coordinator and reports bi-weekly progress to Director of Inclusive Instruction
- Works with campus staff and school leaders to pull scholar groups for instruction
- Travels to assigned campuses within DFW metroplex
- Meets with grade level teams to support scholars with dyslexia
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, etc., as deemed by the Director of Inclusive Instruction
- Monitors and supports IB framework in classrooms
- Communicates with appropriate campus administrators
- Abides by all state and federal mandates in reporting sexual or physical abuse and neglect
- Upholds the code of conduct and all school policies
- Models behavior in the code of conduct
- Supports and follows directives of campus administrators
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B. A./ B.S.) from four-year college or university required.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years teaching experience in core areas: ELAR preferred. Experience with dyslexia instruction is highly desirable. Proven results of successful teaching.
- Special Skills/Certifications: Must hold valid Texas Teaching Certificate. Must earn Amplio certification within 6 weeks of hire date (training provided by employer).
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions in written or oral form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, students, and parents. Strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Bilingual Skills: Mastery of both oral and written English with the ability to write general correspondence. Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
- Technology: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook). Ability to use basic office equipment and ability to learn and use other software and related technology resources as necessary to empower learning. Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.
