Position Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of our self-storage facilities while remaining in compliance with all state and federal laws. Working closely with the Property Manager and District Manager to achieve business goals and objectives. Position may be stressful from time to time and may require work and travel to other locations.
Duties include but not limited to showing, renting, and vacating of storage units, greeting customers, answering phones, and making phone calls. All aspects of running an office including but not limited to the use of computer software program, responding to Internet inquiries, making decisions, reconciling cash receipts, following lien procedures, and interpreting reports. In addition to office related work, responsibilities include cleaning units, bathrooms, picking up trash and debris, pulling weeds, sweeping hallways and grounds and minor repairs
Essential Functions
- Respond to store employee questions and concerns, informing the District Manager.
- Assists with customer complaint.
- Understand policies and procedures for operations.
- Assists with audits and site visits.
- Training new employees as directed.
- Assists Store Manager with auction lock cuts and auction process.
- Assists in creating employee schedules and required to fill in as needed.
- Support opening new sites and converting existing sites.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent
- 1 years storage industry experience
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.
- Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
