Apply today to learn more!\n Responsibilities : \n\nReview, maintain, and screen patient medication records and profiles for allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications while entering orders and / or verifying medications. \nIdentify and report suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and in a timely manner. \nInterpret and evaluate physician orders to prepare, calculate, and dispense appropriate medication dosage forms for inpatient and outpatient treatment in accordance with the Practicing State's Pharmacy Practice Act, Federal Drug Laws, and other regulatory organizations. \nPrepare and dispense intravenous admixture solutions, as required, using aseptic technique in an accepted sterile product preparation area. \nOrganize daily operational duties and assist in the supervision of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy aides, student interns, and other ancillary personnel involved in providing pharmaceutical care. \nFill prescription orders in accordance with State and Federal regulations, utilizing technological resources and equipment. \nProvide drug information and / or educational programs to healthcare professionals and pharmacy students. \nOpportunities available for pharmacy career ladder \nUnique opportunities to work in different areas such as operative satellite pharmacy, sterile products area.\n\nB.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D.) from an accredited school of pharmacy required. \n3-6 months hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. \nPrevious experience or familiarity with investigational drug control procedures and protocol design is preferred. \n\n Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances : \n\nPharmacist \n\n UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran
