Professional Staff Nurse
Medical / Oncology Unit (3 South)

Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains productive relationships internally and externally, demonstrating accountability, enthusiasm, and commitment to patients and colleagues.

- Communicates safety hazards to peers and management promptly.

- Provides effective teaching to guide patients and families through care transitions.

- Utilizes the nursing process within Relationship-Based Care to formulate holistic, patient-centered care plans.

Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning.
UPMC-approved national certification preferred.Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by the Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC).
CPR certification required per AHA standards, including didactic and skills demonstration within 30 days of hire.
Graduate nurses must complete the licensure examination within 6 months of hire or 1 year of graduation.
Temporary permits valid for one year from graduation date, not from issue of permit.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
Act 34 and OAPSA clearances required. Employees with an out-of-state NLC license must apply for licensure within 60 days of changing residency to the state where the facility is located.
