Our role will serve afternoon shifts (12 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 PM, Monday – Friday) with weekend and holiday rotations (6 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM). The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology, strong computer skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. In this role, there will be the opportunity to -

- Demonstrate service orientation by conveying courtesy, respect, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in all work interactions.
- Monitor pneumatic tube and courier deliveries to ensure the timely processing and receipt of specimens.
- Investigate and resolve specimen-related issues, requesting assistance when necessary to maintain accurate workflows.
- Complete and submit quality control forms for unacceptable specimens, documenting errors and issues for resolution.
- Perform centrifugation, label aliquot tubes, and transfer specimens in accordance with established protocols, ensuring proper storage.
- Enter specimen receive times, patient requisition data, and results into the laboratory information system (LIS) accurately and promptly.
- Verify specimens, including blood, urine, and other body fluids, by cross-checking labels and requisitions for correct matching.
- Disinfect work areas regularly and participate in training new employees to ensure a clean and effective laboratory environment.
