Are you a skilled Diagnostic Technologist looking for a rewarding opportunity? UPMC Cole is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role offers a generous sign-on bonus and the chance to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Position Details:
- Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Weekends: No scheduled weekends
- Holidays: As scheduled per rotation
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 for qualified applicants with a two-year work commitment
- $10,000 for 0-1 year experience
- $15,000 for 1 year experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform imaging procedures independently, using your expertise and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
- Properly identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocols during procedures.
- Review patient history, assess physician orders, and apply specific departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition.
- Document patient history in electronic records as required.
- Administer PO and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy.
- Ensure all exams are correctly coded, tracked, and networked for archiving and interpretation, and enter all charges accurately.
- Utilize complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, manipulation, and documentation, completing procedures according to protocol.
- Interact with patients and co-workers with a high level of care, dignity, and respect, working efficiently as part of a team.
- Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and gain cooperation.
