Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Documentation: Accurately complete patient records and state charts for all transports and transfers, including detailed narratives of patient conditions.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate emergency vehicles, ambulances, wheelchair vans, and passenger vans under both routine and emergency conditions.
- Emergency Care: Perform automatic external defibrillation when indicated and provide basic life support for patients of all ages.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean vehicles and equipment, perform daily checks, and report maintenance issues.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with the Lycoming County Communications Center and Fire/EMS units using UHF, VHF, and cellular telephones.
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments and initiate prehospital care according to established standards.
- Support Functions: Restock and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, transport specimens, and ensure smooth inter- and intra-departmental operations.
- Transportation: Provide prehospital transportation for emergency and non-emergency patients, including special needs patients.
Salary : $18 - $28
