Responsibilities:
- Administer contrast according to protocols under proceduralist's direction
- Demonstrate proper positioning and radiographic techniques for interventional procedures.
- Ensure correct patient preparation, equipment operation, and patient monitoring.
- Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocol during procedures.
- Review patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition.
- Document patient history in electronic records as required.
- Maintain aseptic technique and patient safety, incorporating a time-out process.
- Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and gain cooperation.
- Code and track exams through RIS system, network exams to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and enter charges for performed exams.
- Interact effectively with patients and co-workers, displaying care, listening, dignity, and respect; support other departments with general radiographic procedures as needed.
Shifts: This position is Monday-Friday, but can be on-call for evenings and weekends. The shifts are: 7a-3p, 7:30a-3:30p ,8a-4p, 8:30a-4:30p, 9a-5p
