Join our Labor and Delivery team at UPMC as a Licensed Practical Nurse! You will provide care and IV therapy following UPMC guidelines and State Board Regulations, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other licensed UPMC provider.

This position requires working rotating weekend and holiday shifts. You may qualify for a sign on bonus of up to $12,500 based on experience and position status!
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Exercise sound nursing judgment based on your preparation, knowledge, and experience.
- Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care using focused assessment.
- Act within LPN Practice guidelines, including IVs, to create a healing environment.
- Formulate daily goals and care plans for patients, considering their individual needs.
- Communicate patient conditions to other care providers and ensure comprehensive documentation.
- Provide patient and family education for effective care transitions.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Seek guidance from a licensed professional nurse when patient care needs exceed your scope of practice or ability.
- Collaborate with the health care team to achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Build compassionate relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain productive working relationships and demonstrate accountability, enthusiasm, and commitment.
- Understand cultural differences and promote healthy relationships.
Professional Development:
- Follow UPMC policies, guidelines, and the State Practice Act.
- Support the orientation and development of new LPNs and patient care staff.
